BMW is scheduled to introduce another electric car in India on December 13. The all-electric SUV car is named BMW iX and the company has already launched it in the international market. There are two models of this car in the global market, the first of which is the base model iX XDrive 40 and the second is the premium iX XDrive 50. Both get 330ps maximum power and 630Nm peak torque and 530PS maximum power and 765nm peak torque respectively. Both variants come with dual-motor setup. If you believe the news, in the future this lineup will also include the iX M60, which will get a maximum power of 600PS.
For some time now, it has been speculated that BMW will soon launch its own electric car to make a splash in the Indian electric vehicle market. Now, the company has announced that the BMW iX electric SUV will be introduced in India on December 13. the company plans to launch two more electric cars in India in the coming months after the launch of the iX.
As we mentioned, it has two variants and both come equipped with a powerful powertrain. Of the two variants of the car, the base XDrive 40 gets a battery pack of 71kWh capacity, thanks to which the car is able to extract a range of 435 kilometers (according to WLTP). At the same time, the xDrive 50 model comes with a large 105kwh battery pack and can offer a maximum range of 630 kilometers. The car supports fast-charging up to a maximum of 200W capacity, with its battery pack Charging 0 to 80 percent in just 40 minutes. Both models take 0-100 seconds and 6.1 seconds respectively to reach 4.6 kmph.
The upcoming electric cars in India feature a hexagonal-shaped steering wheel. The highlight is its dual-display setup, with a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen system. It includes 4D audio, 5G mobile connectivity and a huge sunroof. The electric car comes equipped with the advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), which includes lane keep assist, front collagen warning and remote-theft recorder.
